What I have done today, thus far: -Biked downtown -Cut 8 large cases of apples -Cut 3 large cases of bananas -Refilled water/soda -took down those fun blow-up play things (like Air It Up!)---mental note: 788-4760. -Biked to David's house -Saw a very tired-looking David -Talked to his funny sister, Lydia. -Biked home. -Talked to people I don't know well...yay. Yep, so, that's alot for one morning, considering that on a normal Saturday, I wouldn't even be awake yet. Anyways, May is bittersweet. I love the weather passionately...everything is blooming and wonderful, colorful and fragrant. It's my favorite time of the year (spring, that is) and May is my favorite month. However, it also marks the near end to my freedom of mobility. My sister comes home on Tuesday...that means no car until August. That is fine, it just makes bad weather days a hassle, or other days that I cannot bike. Also, May marks the closeness of David's leaving for the summer, along with Grace and Lydia. This is extremely sad.
Back to the biking thing..I love biking! Today I biked downtown, even though it would mean getting up earlier for me, because I had to be at the Sole Burner to volunteer for NHS at 7:45. But I really enjoyed the bike nonetheless. After I volunteered with various tasks there, I biked over to David's house, because I had some papers to drop off and I don't know, I just like to see him. It was good talking to Lydia too, she always makes me smile. That whole thing was a little disappointing though, because David had just woken up, and I kind of wanted to spend more time with him. Anyways, I ended up leaving after only being there for about 15 minutes and arrived home much earlier than I had planned on. Oh well. Today I dedicate my life to AP American Studies. I am determined to get an A on our final Monday, and I will study accordingly. That means, after I sign off here, I am going to do the study guide and read and learn for the next 7-8 hours. Then I may possibly go to Tartuffe with Kirsten, but then return to studying. I will know more about the Cold War/Vietnam/Foreign Affairs/Modern America than any other subject for the next 2 days. It's weird, yes, but I find this stuff interesting, and it's super important for my grade. After Monday, it's all over. I can only thank God for pulling me through this...it was extremely hard. But, we start the "May Madness" Presidental Debate after Monday which is awesome. Andrew and I are going to own. Anyways, it's most definately time to study. Last night I found out that my dad listened to some pretty awesome music as a young kid (Kansas and Chicago.) That was neat. Study Time...Have a nice day/night! Lo |
